The Department of Composition invites you to a concert by Marek Stachowski and Anna Zawadzka-Gołosz. This is the eighth concert in the “Masters and Their Students” series, organized by the Kraków Branch of the Polish Composers’ Union and the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Kraków.
The idea behind the series is to present two outstanding Kraków composers-pedagogues and their students, whose compositions have already received recognition and are performed on stages in Poland and Europe. How much of the master remains in the student? How did the students develop or reject the master’s ideas? Have the students found their own original musical language? We ask ourselves these questions with each edition of the “Masters and Their Students” series.
