We cordially invite you to the fifth edition of the “A Due” Festival, a unique artistic event dedicated to chamber music in its most intimate form – duets. The festival will take place from December 7-11, 2025, traditionally in the “Florianka” Auditorium of the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Krakow.
This year’s edition includes four concerts, featuring students and faculty from the Academy of Music in Krakow. It is this intergenerational collaboration and collaborative music-making that makes “A Due” unique, creating a space for artistic dialogue, the exchange of experiences, and the shared discovery of new, often rarely performed works for duet ensembles.
The festival will culminate in a recital on December 10th, featuring Daniel Stabrawa – an undisputed star of Polish and international violin playing. He will be accompanied by distinguished musicians Piotr Tarcholik and Dawid Jadamus. The artists will present a program consisting of duets for two violins and for violin and viola.
The “A Due” Festival remains a unique event in Polish musical life – a place where tradition meets new interpretations, and shared music-making becomes a space for artistic development and inspiration. During the concerts, the musicians will present a wide spectrum of duet music – from classical music, through the 20th century, to contemporary compositions inspired by folklore.
